 Chris Collins

Chris is a graduate of Sydney University and has been practicing as a veterinary surgeon in Tamworth for the past 35 years. Chris approaches all cases with a professional, calm and caring manner. Chris enjoys problem solving with his clients and their animals. While enjoying all aspects of clinical practice, Chris has particular interest in surgery, avian medicine, ophthalmology and dog reproduction.

 Rhys Duncan
B.Vet.Biol/B.Vet.Sc (Hons)

Rhys is a graduate from Charles Sturt University, who is partner in Piper St Vet clinic. Rhys is well known for his friendly, approachable, and always willing attitude to find the time for you and your animals. Rhys is an all-rounder in areas of mixed practice, with a passion for large animal medicine, surgery, small animal orthopaedics and ultrasound.

 Angelina Nelson
BVSc (Hons)

Angelina graduated from the University of Sydney. Angelina worked full-time at Piper Street Veterinary Clinic for a number of years, and now works part time hours to fit her work around family life. Angelina is a small animal vet, and loves working with patients and clients to keep their pets healthy. Angelina has 2 Toy Poodles named "Gracie" and "Ollie".  Areas of particular interest include surgery, internal medicine,  and clinical pathology . Angelina likes the challenge of tricky medical cases, and has a soft spot for her poodle clients.

 Taylor Ware
BVSc (Hons)

Taylor graduated from Charles Sturt University and started work at Piper Street Veterinary Clinic as a new graduate. Originally from Wallabadah, she was keen to return to her local area to begin her career. Taylor has a strong family background in the equine industry, and has a keen interest in equine work including reproduction and lameness as well as enjoying all aspects and challenges that mixed practice has to offer. Taylor is on maternity leave at present but we hope to have her back in the clinic in the future.

Rachael van der Merwe
B.Vet.Biol/B.Vet.Sc (Hons) 

Rachael graduated  from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga and completing her studies in July 2019.
Rachael joined our Veterinary team straight after she graduated.
Rachael has two naughty Dobermans “Wesley” and “Clementine” who both work together to make sure they run the household.
Rachael has an interest is small animal medicine, canine reproduction, soft tissue surgery and working with all aspects of goats.

 Banjo Davidson

Banjo graduated  from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga in July 2019.

Banjo joined our Veterinary team  in March 2021 after previously doing Veterinary work in Inverell.  Fun fact- Banjo was born and grew up in Kenya.
Banjo has 3 dogs “Annie” “Wezi” and “Willow” – who love to work together to get up to mischief.
Banjo loves to work with large animals and has an interest in  large animal reproduction, emergency animal medicine and small animal surgery.

Jayne Upston
B.Vet.Biol/B.Vet.Sc (Hons)

Jayne graduated from Charles Sturt University in Wagga Wagga  in July 2020.
Jayne has three naughty dogs “Annie” “Wezi” and "Willow" and a horse “Max”.
Jayne enjoys large animal medicine and reproduction, equine ambulatory work, and small animal surgery.

Selena Sylvester
BVSc PostGradCertRurSci IVAS

Selena graduated from Sydney University and has completed further studies in breeding and genetics.  She has a particular interested in artificial breeding and also enjoys rehabilitation for canine and equine patients  Selena is a certified Veterinary Acupuncturist and has a particular interest in treating patients using an integrated, holistic approach. She is also an official FEI veterinarian with a strong interest in equine athletes.
