OVINE BRUCELLOSIS TESTING AND ACCREDITATION - Ovine Brucellosis is a bacterial disease of sheep, causing infertility in rams. Infection is usually spread from ram to ram or via ewes. Regular blood testing and consultation with an approved veterinarian and adherence of strict guidelines are required to become accredited. The NSW Ovine Brucellosis Free Flock Scheme allows breeders to sell accredited rams confident they are free of ovine brucellosis.

AUSTRALIAN JOHNE'S DISEASE MARKET ASSURANCE PROGRAM -  Ovine and Bovine Johne's diseases are serious wasting diseases of sheep and cattle caused by strains of the bacteria Mycobacterium paratuberculosis, which live mainly in the intestines. It is spread by the ingestion of faeces from infected animals. Joining the Johne's disease Market Assurance Programs enables breeders to identify and promote their negative status. By only buying from accredited stock, producers can minimise the spread of Ovine Johne's Disease by replacing animals only from MAP assessed flocks.

X RAY - We prefer to x ray large animals at the clinic using our upgraded digital radiograph equipment which enables us to convert normal x rays to a digital image enhancing the radiographs for better bone and soft tissue detail. By x raying at the clinic we can take further x rays on the spot if required.

ULTRASOUND - Used to examine reproductive tracts of horses and cattle for breeding evaluations/programs.

ENDOSCOPY - Upper respiratory examination of horses.

PATHOLOGY - Most pathology for farm animals is outsourced to Elizabeth Macarthur Agricultural Institute at Menangle, Queensland Sperm Morphology Laboratory, Symbion and Gribbles. Our veterinarians have access to specialist vet pathologists at these laboratories to discuss any complex or unusual cases.

FREEZE BRANDING HORSES - Carried out at the clinic or on farm.

STUD BOOK IDENTIFICATION - We have studbook accredited identifiers at the clinic.
